The flight to Michigan was delayed and not exactly planned out as how I wanted it to be, but it was beyond my control.

Finally, I arrived and prepared for my show within an hour. The stage and audience uplifted my mood and threw my travel woes behind me.

I got hooked and reeled out of the sea in France over the Channel Sea to Dublin, Ireland. The audience was skeptical about my presence due to an American girl, but Romanian born performing on stage. "Let's see what she got," was the general attitude.

For whatever reason it was, they were comfortable in approaching and meeting me. They politely explained that they don’t understand American Sign Language and they hoped to enjoy my show.

My very first performance was at my parents’ old apartment in North Hollywood. My parents' friends used to come over for some tea and pastries. They all came from different ethnic backgrounds. I was about six years old and the only child at these “parties." Can you blame me when I got bored? So, I ended up performing for my parents' friends who were my main audience.

The fact that I was a little girl, I had a goal to perform in Europe. I knew it was a big leap to be made. So when I got an invitation to perform at Clin d’Oeil Festival, it was beyond any word that could describe how thrilled I was.
